Brendan and I were very brave today, we went down to Lake Michigan where it was freezing kold and seriously I mean KOLD. We sort of went in shifts, 5 minutes out and 5 minutes in the car to warm up. I made a new kinda cool video for him so I hope he enjoys as I hope you do as well.

You get really..really..really creative indoors and then you get brave and go out for like 3 minutes and click quickly!
This is Brenden, I did his brother's senior pics about 2 years ago, you will see him in a few of the shots and Brenden's gilfriend as well. Brenden plays football and his team, Catholic Central won the State Championships this year so he was busy all summer and fall. So now that its feezing out he had time..so heres what we got..
New Flowers
My husband came home tonight with the most beautiful flowers for me. And you know why...NO REASON!! Wow..now I'm impressed. Here they are I love them and you know, after almost 20 years I love him too, we have been through a lot, almost divorced last year, but GOD is good all the time..watch the video below too!

The Essence of a child is undescribable! Purity, unconditional love, innocence and sheer beauty, from the inside to out. If all parents could love and nurture their child as these parents of this beautiful baby do oh what a peaceful and fabulous world we would live in. Once again i was blessed with the opportunity to capture a small glimpse into the soul of McKenna. How fab this baby is, just look into her eyes and see her joy radiating right into my camera! I hope you enjoy and I hope Chelsea and Travis love them. Finally i was able to get grandpa to sit and allow me to capture him with his pride and joy!
2007 PPA Convention
San Antonio Texas
Well for those of you who thought I dropped off the face of the earth, NO, actually I have been freezing to death! We left on Sunday the 14th for Texas and arrived to freezing cold weather. Unbelievable! It was freezing and they had ice storms so of course everything was closed including the roads. So, my plans were completely ruined for my photo adventure! Normally I would have taken like 2 thousand pics but I ended up with only 450. One day it was 45 so we decided to venture out and here is what I caught. The first few are at the convention, it was pretty boring so I only put on what was cool. Then we headed down the River Walk and man is it ever beautiful! We also went to the Alamo which you will see pics from there. I used NO flash the entire time and really played with my setting which will be described on some of the pictures. I hope you enjoy. The last is my favorite and I will explain by the picture!
FYI: I am officially a Coyote Girl...haha..we went to the bar Coyote Ugly to warm up and decided to hang for awhile. So we were dancing and they asked me to get up on the bar and dance with the girls, sooo of course I did! it was a blast, although i was scared outta my mind that i was gonna fall because of course i had on my 6 inch pradas! (i have video footage coming soon, i am still working on it)

This is the River Walk. Pictures are unable to capture the beauty and romance of this place. I had NO idea how awesome it was. Too bad it was so cold and we were unable to really enjoy it!

We stopped at a restaurant along the river to eat and it was getting very dark, so i propped up my camera and did like a 15 sec exposure to get the next few shots!

2006 ALBUM COMPETITION
Well here we go..this is the album I will be submitting this year. It was a hard choice, but after viewing past winners it seems that the venue does play a part in what the judges like even though that is not listed as part of the judging cirteria. Style the Magazine
What an honor it was to be contacted last fall from this great magazine to want to feature my photography from a wedding. They were interested in a couple from the Bloomfield Hills area, and even though they werent getting married there and were getting married in Traverse City, Michigan they loved the pictures and the couple and decided to use them. If you can recall Jay and Lori's wedding which can be viewed HERE you will see why this was the perfect wedding to use. Here is the layout.
I received this the other day via email and thought I would share with you
Once there were three trees on a hill in the woods.
They were discussing Their hopes and dreams when the first tree said,
"Someday I hope to be a treasure chest. I could be filled with gold,
silver and precious gems. I could be decorated with intricate carving
and everyone would see the beauty."
Then the second tree said, "Someday I will be a mighty ship. I will
take Kings and queens across the waters and sail to the corners of the
world. Everyone will feel safe in me because of the strength of my
hull."
Finally the third tree said, "I want to grow to be the tallest and
straightest Tree in the forest. People will see me on top of the Hill
and look up to my branches, and think of the heavens and God and how
close to them I am reaching. I will be the greatest tree of all time
and people will always Remember me."
After a few years of praying that their dreams would come true, a
group of woodsmen came upon the trees. When one came to the first tree
he said, "This looks like a strong tree, I think I should be able to
sell the wood to a Carpenter, "and he began cutting it down.
The tree was happy, because he knew that the carpenter would make him
into a treasure chest.
At the second tree the woodsman said, "This looks like a strong tree.
I Should be able to sell it to the shipyard." The second tree was
happy Because he knew he was on his way to becoming a mighty ship.
When the woodsmen came upon the third tree, the tree was frightened
because he knew that if they cut him down his dreams would not come
true. One of the Woodsmen said, "I don't need anything special from my
tree, I'll take this one," and he cut it down.
When the first tree arrived at the carpenters, he was made into a feed
box for animals. He was then placed in a barn and filled with hay.
This was not at all what he had prayed for.
The second tree was cut and made into a small fishing boat. His dreams
of being a mighty ship and carrying kings had come to an end.
The third tree was cut into large pieces, and left alone in the dark.
The years went by, and the trees forgot about their dreams. Then one
day, a man and woman came to the barn. She gave birth and they placed
the baby in the hay in the feed box that was made from the first tree.
The man wished that he could have made a crib for the baby, but this
manger would have to do. The tree could feel the importance of this
event and knew that it had held the greatest treasure of all time.
Years later, a group of men got in the fishing boat made from the
second Tree. One of them was tired and went to sleep. While they were
out on the water, a great storm arose and the tree didn't think it was
strong enough to keep the men safe. The men woke the sleeping man, and
He stood and said "Peace" and the storm stopped. At this time,
the tree knew that it had carried the King of Kings in its boat.
Finally, someone came and got the third tree. It was carried through
the streets as the people mocked the man who was carrying it. When
they came to a stop, the man was nailed to the tree and raised in the
air to die at the top of a hill. When Sunday came, the tree came to
realize that it was strong enough to stand at the top of the hill and
be as close to God as was possible, because Jesus had been crucified
on it.
The moral of this story is that when things don't seem to be going
your way, always know that God has a plan for you. If you place your
trust in Him, God will give you great gifts. Each of the trees got
what they wanted, just not in the way they had imagined.
We don't always know what God's plans are for us. We just know that
His ways are not our ways, but His ways are always best.
