  • GOOD-BYE DUKIE

    TRADGEDY HITS

    my beautiful dukie was killed last night! one of my sweet children left the door open last night and my little dukie saw his chance to run in the great outdoors. he took his chance! he so loved to run outside and play, he was so happy and such a great dog!

    He wasnt too in tune with cars and had no clue how dangerous they are and can be. My baby ran, and ran and the kids took off after him but a car was coming toooooooooooo fast down our road and couldnt stop in time. i rushed him to the hospital but the damage was too great. i prayed so hard standing there in the dark, cold vet's office but it seems God had other plans for him. my baby died last night and i will miss him forever!

  • Wow sandy, that's horrible, I'm so sorry for your loss. Thanks for sharing all your wonderful memories, the slideshow was nice to view and had me crying.  I feel the same way qbout my puppy (not really a puppy, but she's my baby). We have a Cairan Terrier and her name is Toto. She's so spoiled, but hse's my baby.  I'm not able to have children, so she takes the place and enjoys ALL the attention.  Anyway my heart goes out to you and your family.  Take care, Cathy Ann

  • Oh how awful!!  How are the kids handling it??  My good friend's dog was hit by a car last year and they were just devastated by it.  Take care.

  • :mad: well, its really weird, i keep seeing stuff on the floor and bending down to pick it up, like shoes and then it will hit me, there is no one to eat the shoe! then the worst for me is coming home, no one to greet me at the door all excited! the kids are taking it better than me. i think i am still in denial. it just doesnt seem real! it hurts my heart when i think about him!
